Return, Refund, & Exchange Policy

If you find you’re not totally in love with your Milkman’s Garage item(s), we will be sad, but we want you to be happy.  Let’s work together to get this straightened out and make sure you’re happy again.  We think you’ll find our Return, Refund, & Exchange Policy to be very reasonable.

CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL AN ORDER AFTER I’VE PLACED IT?

Yes, please Contact Us right away!  We ship within 1-2 business days.  Depending on the time of day, sometimes your order can go out the same business day.  We are able to change or cancel your order as long as it has not already shipped.  

Any changes to Custom Orders must be made before any work has begun.

EXCHANGE POLICY

We are happy to replace your item(s) if they are defective, damaged, or you need to exchange your item for another size within the 30 day window.  

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. We are not responsible for USPS issues, weather conditions, and unforeseen delays.

To initiate the exchange your purchase, please email chrissy@milkmansgarage.com and  include the following details:
 – Your First and Last Name
 – Your Shipping Address so we may send the exchanged product to you
 – The item(s) you would like to exchange (Name, Planner Cover Size, Quantity)
 – Reason for the Exchange
 – Purchase Date

Please do not send your items to us for exchange until we approve your exchange.

Once your exchange has been approved, send your item(s) to:

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee the Post Office will not make a mistake and that your returned item will not get lost in transit.

RETURN POLICY

Our return policy is 30 days from the date of purchase. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase date, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Non-Returnable Items Include:

 – Custom Orders
 – Gift Cards
 – Clearance Items

Custom Order Fabric/Supplies Received Without Payment:

Planner Covers are not started until full payment is received.  If fabric/supplies are received, but a fully paid order is not placed within five (5) business days.  The fabric/supplies package will be “Returned To Sender.”

Items Needed To Complete Return:

To complete your return, we require a receipt or order number be submitted with the return.  

If your item is received damaged, photographs of the damage are also required before return approval can be approved.

There Are Certain Situations Where Only Partial Refunds Are Granted:

 – Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Return Shipping Address:

REFUND POLICY

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund request.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

IF: You are approved
THEN: Your refund will be processed
AND: A credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 days

IF: Your refund request is not approved
THEN: We will reach out to you via email with the reason(s) why your refund request has been denied
AND: We will give you the option of receiving the original product back or receiving a store credit.

Late or Missing Refunds:

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

IF: You’ve done all of this
AND: It has been more than 7-10 business days
AND: You still have not received your refund yet
THEN: Please contact us at chrissy@milkmansgarage.com so we may investigate your refund from our end and help resolve this for you.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY ITEM ARRIVED DAMAGED?

Thankfully, this has never happened.  But if it does, please:

 1.  Take pictures of the actual box/packaging.  Even if the packaging itself is not damaged.  The US Postal Service will require this for the claim.
 2. Take pictures of the damage to the product to include close-up photos of the damage and entire product. 
3. Contact Us immediately and include the photos so we can work together to take care of this situation for you.
4. Do not throw the box/packaging or the product away.  Hold on to it until we hear back from the US Postal Service.
